- Declassified Key Judgements of the National Intelligence Estimate “Trends in Global Terrorism: Implications for the United States” dated April 2006 (from CNN web site) This is the document, released in September, that says, among other things, that the conflict in Iraq has become a “cause celebre” for jihadists”. It is also a great reminder that behind the scenes there are a great many intelligent professionals working for the government.
